I worked in television making value based documentaries for about four years; I left a few years ago and sold my soul to commercial enterprise by joining my mother in the garment trade. I was never happy with what I was doing especially since I saw how women were being treated in some factories ( not all , most factories in Sri Lanka have a strict “FAIR WAGE” policy) I wanted to do something different to the mass produced items being done in these factories on the blood and sweat of women being paid peanuts. We had been doing garments for a long time , we were sick of competing with mass produced, bad quality items and also wanted to do something to help - widows, single mothers and young women in desperate situations.
Comfy heaven Home decor was born out of this need. It has been my dream to start this project where I have the opportunity not only to create but also to help women in difficult situations. So that now I have the best of both worlds.
Comfyheaven Home decor helps give single mothers, widows and young women the opportunity to earn an income. We ( my mother and I ) do the designing and marketing and provide them with raw materials. They can work from home or come to ours and use our machines (my mother has one sewing machine ,an embroidery machine and an over lock machine). We pay them a fair wage for this work.
These women have to freedom to work from their homes at their own pace.
They are also exposed to international trends, ideas and expertise.
As these women don’t have computer or are not even aware of the opportunities the internet can offer. We try to sell their products on sites like etsy and ioffer that have opening for hand made items.
At present we have 4 women who work with us. As we grow we hope to employ more.

Comfyheaven Home decor and it's mother company Graceful Living Sri Lanka manufactures cushion covers and soft furnishings for Middle and Luxury markets. We deal in an extensive range of home decor items and have successfully produced and exported these items, which include Cushion Covers, Bed Spreads, Bed Covers, Table Linen, Table Mats & napkins. We concentrate on making unique, elegant and beautifully designed items that are of the best quality.
Quality assurance:
We use the best quality fabrics ,export quality finish, lining, invisible zips, all products go through a 100% quality check before shipment.
Even our hand looms are pre- washed before manufacture.
Our Manufacturers:
Our products are not mass produced or factory produced. They are made by women who run small cottage industries and single mothers who work from home.
Custom Designs:
Buyers can choose from existing designs or send us their own designs.
If you have a particular designs you want done you can be assured of our confidentiality. We will also send image of panel prior to manufacture for approval. If it is large quantity of items we will also courier sample to buyer.
Unique Designs:
We do not mass produce our soft furnishing, generally designs offered to one customer in one country are not offered to another in the same
country.
Low Minimums:
We also provide our customers with low minimums. If you like our Raw silk range you can buy 24 pcs in a variety of designs and colours
in that range.
Prices:
Our price are more suited for middle range and luxury markets.
Lead Times:
We generally take two weeks to shipping wholesale orders of 50-100 pcs. Please note we do not stock items , all our orders are made to customers specification.
